Chief geologist for geothermal development
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Together with the Geothermal Development Manager, developing a sustainable business model that would deliver over 300 MWe of steam equivalent for Rwanda to achieve geothermal expansion plan in the next 7-15 years;
- Supporting EWSA in building its institutional capacity and in management and administrative activities;
- Coordinating all decisions, logistics and activities related to geothermal research, exploration and reservoir modeling, monitoring and management;
- An undergraduate degree in Geology and a Master’s degree in the same field;
- Post graduate training in Geothermal Technology would be an added advantage;
- A minimum of 8 years work experience in geothermal geology during exploration and development;
- Experience in geothermal exploration, project management and evidence of ability to develop staff;
- Proven track record of delivering geothermal surface exploration on time and budget;
All experts are expected to perform a mentorship and coaching role and to provide on the job training to their assigned local counterparts in the field of expertise throughout the course of the appointment.
