The IESBA develops and issues in the public interest, high-quality ethics standards and guidance for professional accountants around the world. It encourages member bodies to adopt high standards of ethics for their members and promotes good ethical practices globally. The IESBA also fosters international debate on ethical issues faced by accountants.
On behalf of the IESBA, IFAC is seeking an exceptional individual to serve as a Chair on a remunerated basis, for a minimum of 100 days per year, beginning January 2013. By mutual agreement this commitment could be increased up to and including a full time role.
Successful candidates will have effective leadership, communication and strategic skills, and have a commitment to the public interest and to IESBA’s strategic plan. The Chair will possess the depth of knowledge necessary to assist IFAC’s Board and management in guiding the accountancy profession. This is a part-time position, appointed for a term of three years.
