A highly experienced and effective procurement professional with senior level leadership experience and a track record of applying their in-depth understanding of strategic sourcing and supplier management to drive transformational change and deliver significant business benefits.
This individual will continue to increase DFID & PrG’s influence over indirect spend delivered via third parties and drive the increased application of strategic sourcing and collaboration to improve VfM and results from direct and indirect spend.
The role will apply creative and innovative strategic sourcing thinking to identify, create and prioritise opportunities to significantly improve business performance. The role will also drive and facilitate the implementation of change to deliver improvement and realise the identified benefits, influencing to effect transformational change not only within DFID but also in key partner organisations (e.g. key suppliers, multi-laterals, CSO’s etc). The role will secure engagement and business buy-in and will provide commercial guidance at senior levels across DFID.
This individual will lead, line manage and develop a team towards the same purpose & objectives and provide leadership as Deputy Head of Procurement Group.
