We are looking for a Global Public Policy Manager with excellent advocacy and communication skills and international work experience.
The Manager will:
• Develop and implement advocacy strategies on global issues of relevance to the industry, such as food security and climate change
• Help coordinate interactions with key international organisations and stakeholders
• Manage CropLife International’s participation in coalitions and other working groups
• Represent CropLife International at UN and international intergovernmental organisations meetings and conferences
• Develop industry positions and coordinate expert input on key issues
• Work closely with the communications team to craft effective messaging and develop creative communication tools to support outreach
• Effectively report and communicate progress to members and partners
• Support the work of other teams in specific expert areas and manage committees
Candidate profile:
• Excellent writing & presentation skills: ability to formulate and articulate clear strategies and messages about complex processes and issues
• Excellent networking and interpersonal skills and the ability to function well in a multicultural environment
• Keen understanding of international policy processes and ability to think strategically
• Experience working in an international environment and with the UN system
• Three to five years of work experience in advocacy
• Strong ability to multitask and manage parallel work streams
• Energetic, quick thinker, able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
• Ability to travel extensively
