Job Description (Duties):
Job Purpose:
-Sales development in Rwanda and Burundi with phases as per Annexe.
-To effectively lead, control and manage the Distributor (once applicable) and his Sales team to achieve the set Business objectives.
-This position is a key contact point between NESTLE and the Distributor and requires an effective and professional relationship with Agent Sales Team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the achievement of the area / region sales volumes, NNS,OG and RIG targets by category.
- Ensure Channel core distribution, coverage and visibility objectives are met.
- Responsible for effective implementation of Channel and sales plans.
- Responsible to work closely with the Customers/Distributors to maximize opportunities and tailor solutions to needs.
- Accountability to propose appropriate plans and activities for area/region and to ensure effective implementation.
- Accountable and responsible to build good commercial relationship with key customers in the country.
- Responsible to ensure the effective and timely deployment of all trade / consumer activities in the targeted channels.
- Accountable for the preparation of area/region Sales Forecast and achievement of DPA.
- Accountable and responsible for monitoring and providing information on competition and key customers in the Country.
- Accountable for managing and controlling the Cost of Doing Business.
- Accountable and responsible to propose and justify TTS and field resources requirements.
- Accountable and responsible for assisting in the development of the Distributor's (when applicable) sales team via regular sales training courses and seminars.
- Create and generate demand for our products.
- To effectively appoint, develop and manage distributors.
- Adapt business plan from head office to the region (Rwanda)
- Ensure optimal availability of products over long and short term.
- Computing, preparing and authorizing credit and debit notes as required.
- Monitor sales in our market to ensure targets and objectives are met.
- Handle customer/shopper/consumer complaints and inquiries with the support of Consumer Services in the Regional Office in Kenya.
- Liaise regularly with other departments to ensure product availability in line with sales requirements.
- Effective financial management of expenses versus budgets.
- Recommend the tools and resources required to achieve the new product launch objectives.
- Request SKU portfolio changes based on outlet/channel.
- Liaise with Finance and Supply Chain for optimal pricing and product availability.
- Formulate route to market design.
- Generate demand for our products.
- Optimize the value of trade investments.
- Effective internal and external relationships.
- Execution of business plans.
- Analyze business information.
- Communication with Regional Office.
- Achieve the country sales volume, NNS, RIG and OG.
- Effective Distributor relationship and management.

Necessary Qualifications: Necessary Qualifications:
- A degree in Marketing or a business related field.
- Nestle product knowledge.
- 5 years sales experience including field based exposure.
- Sound understanding of the Retail Grocery and CCD channels and trade competitive environment.
- Sound negotiations skills.
- Financial implication and awareness.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Understanding company objectives and strategies.
- Customer needs and purchasing patterns.
- Knowledge of supply chain concepts.
